Colours and Textures

I started collecting materials used for packing and padding parcels: there are some truly inspiring surfaces and even colours that could be translated into lightweight textiles.

In the meantime, I enjoy spring colours, scents and shapes (and natural dyeing with onion skins and cochineal!)

Take a seat, please!

I found a couple of nice old chairs in a thrift shop, but they need a bit of extra care. I'd like to re-cover the seat with a handwoven fabric. I think I'm going to stick with green, but I'd like to add some pattern - so I might be using one of the samples I wove for the Organic collection.

I like this season: full of new ideas and energy!
It might also be the fact that these last days have been lovely. Even if my dearest left today...

More light!

I like the shape of the top part -
it reminds me of a little Buddhist stupa!
It's still raining... days are so dark, I need more light...

...luckily, the next project on the loom is going to be all white ;-)
