preparing for summer

I've just finished this prototype - it's a very light, transparent scarf in pastel colours.
In the warp I alternated stripes of silk yarn and lovely Venne cotton (from Margreet!)
while the weft is white linen. It's crisp and shiny and matt at the same time.
Now I need a sunny and windy day to try it out.....

I love the Slow Grow project by Melanie Bowles

I have been trying to get a summer scarf that I can weave. Yours is much better than anything I came up with.

Yes, it's beautiful and so, so fine. It will be hot here tomorrow for Good Friday - 30 degrees - what a shame you are not going to be here... you could easily wear it!
