Here are my latest scarves - two colours for the warp and two colours for the weft -
resulting in four shades of cashmere/silk and linen.
These were the last two of the light ones;
now that Autumn is finally upon us I feel the need to be weaving something more substantial
in terms of yarn weight. Maybe something fluffy too...

I discovered Claire's beautiful blog - Clarabella -

Hi Fran!
the rigid heddle was there just for the photo, although you could weave the scarf on a rigid heddle loom, it's woven in plain weave!
The sett was 8ends/cm.

Thank you Meg, Helga, Margreet and Kim for your lovely comments!

thanks so much for the answer, as the mystery is solved! Sett is 20/inch, whixh is too dense for any rigid heddle, as far as I know. The weaving is very fine! I wish I could take some lessons from you, as my ambitions exceed my skills! Fran

Fran,
I don't know what is the maximum sett for rigid heddles - but yes, the weaving is fine, considering that the yarn in the warp is 2/56!

I suppose that you could try with a 2/28 yarn and 10epi sett; double the yarn count and half the sett. Does it make sense? Now I am not so sure...but it might be nice to try!

...and than you Francoise and msvos!
