I finished the blanket and made a cover with unbleached cotton fabric.
I also added a small pocket at the front for care instructions, wool content, etc.

On the way home from Perugia we stopped in Cortona - it was so hot!

a weekend in Perugia - I was incredibly lucky to find Giuditta Brozzetti's weaving studio open
- the owner, Marta, is a young and very determined lady who keeps up the work started by her grandmother -
and the weaving studio is located in an old church, with an incredibly suggestive atmosphere.
I just couldn't stop taking pics! You can see all of them here.

It's incredibly hot in these days, I am almost longing for Autumn!

I completed a little commission
- mixing together different yarns: merino, cashmere/silk, angora and cashmere, in a swedish lace pattern that creates little squares -
Now off to wash it!

leather weave

this is Giulia, who works here, weaving leather strips to make a bag.
Simple plain weave, but very effective!

I have been thinking about this bag too - I like the idea of leather without lining - and natural tan handles.
